Case Study of
ICONN HRM is an all-in-one HR platform with intelligent automation. It’s a comprehensive HRM software that integrates core and strategic HR functions into one solution while supporting the work from home concept which was immersed recently in Sri Lanka.
Although there are many HR systems readily available in the market, most of those have had issues handling HR functions with work from home concept. Emeagia, a company that operates in Australia and Sri Lanka, wants to quickly seize the opportunity. Though they had a traditional HR management system with biometric readers. They needed to come up with an innovative way to remove the obsolete technology in place of a more mobile solution and a digitalized HR management system was born as ICONN HRM.
As the initial step towards making improvements to the ICONN HR Management system, we conducted user experience research for this project. Our team conducted individual interviews with HR professionals at their own office to build a strong relationship with them, allowing them to share their honest opinions and experiences with the current system without any hesitation. Through these interviews, users demonstrated the real issues they faced when using the existing system and even suggested their own solutions to address those issues.
To further understand the user pain points, we analyzed the interview results and conducted additional research on the existing system issues. This helped us to identify areas of improvement that could enhance the user experience. Additionally, we conducted a competitor audit to see how other similar systems provided solutions to the same issues identified in our existing system.
Our team then took all the research findings and analyzed them to determine what changes and improvements needed to be made in the new version of the HR system. We presented our findings and recommendations to the Business Analysts and Project Managers through a comprehensive documentation and a well-crafted presentation. The research conducted allowed us to build a user-centric HR management system that addressed the pain points of the users and provided them with an enhanced user experience.
Before starting wireframing, we analyze the design issues and UX matters in the previous version of the system. Our goal was to solve those issues and build a user-centered system design that gives the best output for our users. Once we optimize and finalize the wireframe designs of several modules, then we started initiating the new UI design. But we decided to go for a new branding concept which is not much deviated from the branding of the first version.
Based on the branding concept of the first version we tried to go for a new branding concept while maintaining some of the features. Since the product name is decided not to be changed, we initiated our new branding concept with a new logo and style.
Based on the branding concept of the second version we tried to go for a new branding concept while maintaining some of the features. Since the product name is decided not to be changed, we initiated our new branding concept with a new logo and style.
